They ran an amp cable through a door jam? Seriously? Whoever did that is going to get somebody hurt someday (or worse). And next to the exhaust… I don’t even know what to say about that.
nice video man
You just have an Initech mug lying around… hahahahaha
Additional TIPS:
1. Make sure your battery ground wire to frame is larger than your 12V supply to amp. *
2. Spiral wires to speakers. Spiraling prevents EMI
3. Never coil excess wire. Serpentine and twist.
4. Use ferrite cores on line level inputs. This prevents cell phone clicks and buzzes.
5. Never bury fuses behind panels. Make them accessible.
6. Always buy door clips ahead of install. If they don’t break, great.
7. Put dampening material behind license plate. No one wants to hear bump bump buzz.
* Some battery grounds will go to engine then frame. Make a new ground cable from battery and put to frame. If car is out of warranty, you can move the original battery ground to frame and mount your larger new ground cable from there to battery.
